Introducing our newest performers!

Tony Green is a five-time Minnesota Music Award vocalist nominee. In 2019, he was awarded the Mid-America Lifetime Achievement Award. As the lead singer for the Minneapolis-based Westside Band, he was part of their induction in the Mid-America Music Hall of Fame in 2010. Performing with Westside off and on for decades also included competing on Star Search; winning many different music awards; recording five albums; co-writing songs; touring around the country, and opening for various national acts like The Supremes, Rare Earth, Kool & the Gang, Flock of Seagulls, Earth Wind & Fire, and many others.
Over the years, Tony has also enjoyed singing with many other groups of talented musicians in the U.S. and internationally. He was in the bands Pop Machine, Veronica and the MPLS Sound, Flyte Tyme, Minneapolis Meltdown and his own band, Paradise. He spent some time in Japan performing with the band R Deal as well as touring with The Hound Dogs. In more recent years, he has worked with CBO, R-Factor, Modd Squad, Boogie Wonderland and other local groups.
Tony has also participated in various theatrical tribute and holiday shows. He really enjoyed musical theatre as well as he was able to combine his singing and dancing with acting, during runs of both Pearlie and The Wiz.
In the early 90’s, he released a solo album and toured under his given name, Forest Wayne. More recently, he released a solo record and video - Tony Green, Easy to Love. He has also been singing gospel music since he was six years old. Along with his parents and siblings, “The Green’s” put on gospel shows at churches all around the Twin Cities for many years. At the age of 12, he started a gospel quartet called The Revelation. They toured to perform in churches all around the country. He continues to sing gospel music today, both on his own and with different groups and choirs. He feels blessed to sing at church services, fundraising events, weddings and funerals.
